Winter Tyre Award Categories
The Winter Customer Choice Awards 2026/27 recognise winter tyres in two categories, based on verified driver ratings collected during the last 12 months. Each category features three levels of recognition: Winner, Highly Recommended and Commended.

Best Winter SUV Tyres
- Winner: Michelin Alpin 7
- Highly Recommended: Continental WinterContact TS 870 P
- Commended: Hankook Winter i*cept evo3 X
In the passenger car category, the Bridgestone Blizzak 6 takes the top award for Best Winter Tyres with a rating of 4.8 out of 5, and 90% of verified drivers say they would buy it again. The Michelin Alpin 7 follows as Highly Recommended, and the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 is Commended for a second year running.
In the SUV category, the Michelin Alpin 7 retains its Best Winter SUV Tyres title with a rating of 4.7, and 94% of drivers say they would buy it again, the highest rate in this year's winter awards. It is also the only tyre recognised in both categories. The Continental WinterContact TS 870 P and Hankook Winter i*cept evo3 X complete a podium that matches 2025/26 exactly.
Together, the results give motorists a consistent, trusted shortlist ahead of the colder months, built entirely on the experience of verified drivers.
